Since 2008, Lady Gaga has been pushing the boundaries for what a pop star can wear. People can say she is copying Madonna, but I'm pretty sure I'm never seen Madonna wear the insane things Gaga has stepped out of the house in.
Meat, Kermit and Bubbles are all 'normal' attire for Lady Gaga, and it's become normal for us to see them.
It takes a lot for people to raise their eyebrows at fashion, but in this article, I'm going to be counting down the Top 10 most outrageous Lady Gaga outfits (to date, as I'm sure there are going to be many more to come).

10. In 2010, Lady Gaga stepped out in this completely see through Latex dress with white nipple tape, bright yellow hair, plastic chicken legs strapped to her hands, and a bedazzled lobster attached to the front of her face. Oh by the face, she was only going to a restaurant, so I guess this is Lady Gaga doing casual.
9. For her Telephone video, Lady Gaga stepped up the insane and impractical with many wacky outfits, but one of the craziest has to be the cigarette glasses, with actual smoking cigarettes. Talk about dangerous. The things she does to push the boundaries.
8. When Gaga's outfit started BLEEDING at the 2009 VMAs, don't act like you weren't surprised. The bleeding was the icing on the cake for what is now an iconic performance, and one of her first truly original and bonkers performances.
7. Gaga is famous for her crazy hats, but this bird's nest hat is really on another level. As she sat next to Beyonce during the VMAs, she looked completely bizarre, but totally Gaga.
6. I really do love this outfit. Lady Gaga looks like a latex angel during the 2010 Brit Awards. Her hair is higher than Marge Simpson could ever dream of, and her dress it just crazy. She looked completely elegant and she completely stole the show scooping up most of the awards and giving a killer performance.
5. Bubbles, bubbles everywhere. Lady Gaga looks totally bonkers in her 'bubble' dress. The bubbles might look obviously plastic, but it doesn't take away from the fact that she's the only popstar who would ever think of doing this.
4. The Kermit the frog dress! It's like the Meat Dress Part 1. I have to say, this is totally insane, and I'm sure Lady Gaga is slightly poking fun at herself whilst on German TV. Still, who would have thought Kermit would make such a...fetching dress.
3. At the 2009 VMAs, Lady Gaga donned this red lace number whilst accepting her award. It literally looks like she grabbed 10 yards of lace, and wrapped it around herself. She looks totally freaking with her face covered with her wonky crown, and I'm sure she totally freaked Eminem out when accepting the award.
2. In design, this outfit isn't that outrageous, but it's the concept behind it that is. Lady Gaga, dressed as a man, and the VMAs 2011 (and in the You and I video and Japanese Vogue). What's hilarious is that this isn't just an outfit, it's a character. When Jo Calderone opened the VMAs everyone had to look twice. 'Is that really Lady Gaga?'. She totally had everyone fooled and Jo's banter with Britney Spears was cringe-worthy hilarious.
1. C'mon, how could this NOT be Number 1? The Meat Dress. The outfit made of raw meat to the 2010 VMAs (notice how Gaga totally goes all out for the VMAs, with 4 entries on this list), raised a lot of eyebrows and is most arguably her most famous/infamous outfit to date. Raw meat shouldn't work as a dress, but Gaga kind of makes it work. With meat hat, meat shoes and meat purse to match, this outfit has become iconic, and who is going to forget the line "I never thought I'd ask Cher to hold my meat purse".
